HYATTSVILLE, MD - December 9, 2012 - On Saturday, December 1, 2012, Hyattsville-based cupcake boutique & café, Pretty Girl Cupcakery (a.k.a. PG Cupcakery), hosted their signature “It’s a Pretty Girl’s Christmas” Holiday Trunk Show and Dessert Soiree. Over 40 personally invited tastemakers from the DC/Maryland/Virginia area were treated to an exclusive tasting from the cupcakery’s new line of holiday themed desserts.
Guests including “DC Cupcake Critic” Stephanie Folling and Jeannine Hunter of the Washington Post enjoyed meeting new friends and toasting to the holiday season while savoring a variety of cupcake minis in flavors such as Egg Nog, Carrot Cake, and Strawberry Champagne. However, the favorite dessert of the evening was the decadent French Macarons, which are available in four different flavors; many of the guests were quite partial to the pistachio flavor.
While enjoying the assortment of desserts and refreshments, guests also indulged in a private holiday shopping experience featuring products from the Body Care Café and Step Out the Box Jewelry. PG Cupcakery offered a special event menu featuring discounts on their popular treats such as their “Cupcake in the Jar”, Gourmet Cookies and French Macaron four-flavor gift pack.
Owner LaKisa Taylor speaks on her excitement about the success of the cupcakery’s first trunk show event. “Our goal with this event was to create a super fabulous experience for women in the area to shop, network and enjoy the delicious array of desserts we offer at our store. Because of the amazing turn-out, we are already planning future quarterly events that will provide similar one-of-a-kind experiences for the Pretty Girls in the DC Metropolitan area!”
